About Thirumandiram ::

Thirumandiram has been divided into ‘NINE TANTRAS’ or chapters, dealing with different aspects of life, & also on liberation.

The first tantra comprising 336 mantras deal with invocation, ahimsa, abstaining from killing, dharma, discipline of Brahmin, duty of kings and divine grace.

The second tantra comprising 221 mantras, deals with acts five , about Temples, Holy waters, Sins on abuse of God, Act of helping good souls, and about creation.

The third tantra comprising 335 mantras, deal with Yama, Niyama, Ashtanga Yoga, Ashta sidhis, Yogic states and Planetary effects.

The fourth tantra comprising 534 mantras deals with Yantras and how to perform Puja.

The fifth tantra comprising 153 mantras deals with Saivism, Kriya, Yogam, Gnana, Salokyam, Saamipyam, Saaropyam, Saayujyam, etc.

The sixth tantra comprising 131 mantras deals with importance of Lotus feet, darshan of true Guru, reunion, importance of tapa etc.

The seventh tantra comprising 414 mantras deals with Kriya, Sivalinga, its puja, method to perform puja, puja to Guru, about intake of food, sins on abuse of Jnani, control of senses, Satguru, Asatguru and Samadhi.

The eighth tantra comprising 314 mantras deals with Sidhantha tathwas , gunas, truth, bakthi & mukthi.

The ninth tantra comprising 610 mantras deal about Panchakshara , divine dance, etc.
