1. ADULTROUS EYES

T

“The person having adulterous eyes and baser thoughts, would not be faithful to his loving and devoted wife, but would, have thoughts of other man’s wife. It’s like ignoring the ripe Jack fruit in his garden & climbing a thorny date tree to pluck dates.”

Verse 201

SHRI MATAJI’S ADVICE ON USE OF EYES

“Jesus has told that ‘thou shall not commit adultery’. But I tell you, Thou shall not have adulterous eyes.”

“To keep looking at every woman is a sin. If you do this, your eyes will get spoilt. In Sahaja Yoga, even greater harm can come. You could go blind, when the eyes keep moving around, then the greatest harm comes to your chitta (attention). Your attention is moving here and there & getting unsteady. If it is unsteady, what is the use of Self-Realisation. If the attention will not be one pointed & steady, it cannot work. Only a one pointed attention works. One pointedness should be made practical. Sahaja Yogis can ask me, how they should keep the attention alright. I told them to look at Mother Earth while walking & not more than three feet above the ground. That way you will only see children, flowers & nature. In this way you can control attention.”

2. AGAMAS

a. WITHOUT EXPERIENCE AGAMAS CANNOT BE UNDERSTOOD

T

“God by his compassion has revealed the Divine Agamas. These Agamas are not fully known even to the Devas in Heaven & are said to be Seventy-billion-million in numbers or granthis. Though these agamas may be measured in numbers, if without awakening, these are read, it will be of waste & be of no benefit. Hence only after realisation, can Agamas be understood.”

Verse 60

.................

b. SIVA REVEALS AGAMAS TO SAKTHI BEFORE CREATION

T

“Siva revealed to our Divine Mother, Sakthi, the meaning of Agamas in Sanskrit & Tamil, before creation began.”

Verse 65

.................

c. THIRUMANDIRAM’ IS TAMIL AGAMAS

T

“May be due to the good done in the past births, I was blessed with ‘the opportunity’ to reveal Agamas in Tamil.”

Verse 81

3. ATTENTION

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘ATTENTION’

“ATTENTION IS ‘CHITTA’ AND GOD IS ‘ATTENTION’ But your attention is God; if you become enlightened to that extent. It is like a canvas; you can say, it is like a canvas; which is spread out for a film; & whatever ‘aptitudes’ or, you can say, ‘the drags’ or ‘movements’ of your Attention has, shows on the canvas.

So our Attention is just a ‘pure’ completely Pure canvas, & is acted upon by the three Gunas. We have to begin with. And the three Gunas come to you, one from the past, one from the future, & one from the present. Now, whatever has been your experiences about a particular thing on a particular occasion, so far, is completely recorded in your memory. For example, if you see the black colour, all that goes with black colour is recorded in your memory. As soon as you see the black colour, quite a lot of it comes out . That means as soon as you see ‘this’ with your Attention, the Attention gets muddled up or you can say the Attention gets coloured with all the memories about the black colour.

And then your action takes place according to the way your Attention effected.

As soon as you will meet a man, your Attention will start bubbling out with those ideas that are coming about the man & you will start addressing him accordingly. It is all stored up within you - whether it is about future or about the past - is given out of the Attention through the bubbling process, which depends on your dragging nature, where you are dragged to, that is ‘VRITTI’.

VRITTI means a temperament by which you are drawn to.

By realisation your attention gets higher & gets separated from that strata from where these things bubbles in. The strata goes higher. The Attention goes higher.

You are here to raise your Attention to higher & higher states so that you come up to a point where you become One with the Attention of God. Already your Attention is sparkled because through your attention you can see what is wrong with you, you can see what is wrong with others, & you can see how far you are going with yourself. But the progress is retarded because you do not know that the Attention is pure form & all that you get into this Attention is a mythical stuff, is myth. If you drop this myth gradually, treat everything as a myth & not depend on becoming unhappy or happy, just seeing the thing, your Attention will take a flight & it will be a much higher level residing there. The difference between a person who is realised & not realised is this that the Attention which was giving myth as reality to you is gone now, is gone higher. It can see that it is a myth, the Attention can clearly see it is a myth. And you can see that yourself & you can see that yourself & you can remove yourself. And the best way to do it is to be in thoughtless awareness.

Now you have to expand so that more strands of Kundalini can rise & your Attention which is in these centre , expands. By expansion , it drives out all that is mythical on the sides.

The mastery of Attention will come when you will start seeing that it is all a myth that upsets you. It is all a myth that upsets you. Just throw it away & understand that you are ‘eternal attention’. The only thing that keeps you away from this is ignorance, & the ignorance is too simple to understand that you have accepted myth as truth. Just drop it.

The physical enjoyment in Sahaja Yoga itself is sufficient to keep your Attention Subtle. You do not have to fix your attention but you have to get subtler & subtler in your attention. The attention of Sahaja Yogi should be so subtle that he should feel the vibrations, he should think of vibrations, he should eat vibrations, drink vibrations, & enjoy them.

Put your attention fully towards Divine, pull it out completely towards it so that there is no attention left towards gross sides.

Nothing can be alright unless you develop the subtleties of your Attention & they develop by receeding your attention from all that is gross. Recede your attention, whenever it goes too much into a thought like that ‘OH! Forget it”. But into vibrations you pay full attention, seeing vibrations, you pay full attention, seeing your own vibration pay full vibrations, other things you need not worry, they will be looked after. That is how your Attention is subtler in Kingdom of God.”

a. SHIVA RESIDES IN HEART OF THOSE WHO INCESSANTLY REMEMBER HIM EVEN AMIDST MUNDANE WORK.

T

“If a seeker, who is caught in Maya of samsara cycle, starts having his attention on Lord incessantly even while doing mundane work, then Shiva with his consort will reside in his heart.”

Verse 42

SHRI MATAJI has many a time narrated the story told by ‘GURU NANAK’ on ‘Attention’ on God amidst mundane work. He narrates a village scene where a boy is flying a kite while talking to his friends at the same time, but his attention is always on the Kite. The ladies in the villages are walking and talking with each other while carrying the pots filled with water on their heads. They are talking but their attention is always on the pots filled with water. The mother is preparing food in the kitchen, but her attention is on her child which is playing near by. Like this even amidst performing mundane work, our attention should be one the Divine.

.....................

b. THINKING OF ALMIGHTY AMIDST MUNDANE WORK IS REWARDING

T

“Those who remember Him and do divine work even while amidst mundane life are equal to great sages. Those who regularly meditate on God, will be protected by Divine Grace.

The kite which sits on the palm tree comes down when it is hungry & obtains foods & goes back up the tree. Similarly, we have to discharge our normal duties, & not escape from it and other times meditate on God, then, mundane life will not affect us, otherwise it will.”

Verse 47

SHRI MATAJI ON RAJA JANAKA’S STATE

“You know King Janaka was called ‘Vidheha’. Great sage Narada asked him one day, Revered Sir, how are you called as Vidheha, you live in this world, how can you be a Vidheha?

Raja Janaka said, “this is very simple. I will tell you about it in the evening. Now, please do this little job for me. There is milk in this bowl. You take this bowl & come along with me. Please see that not a single drop of milk is spilled on the Earth. Then only I will tell you why I am called ‘Vidheha’. Narada took the bowl & followed Janaka everywhere. He had to be very careful because the bowl was such that by the slightest movement the milk might have spilled. He got very tired. When they returned in the evening, Narada asked ‘Please tell me now, I am quite fed up with carrying this bowl & following you everywhere at the same time.

Raja Janaka said, “First of all tell me what you have seen?’

Narada, “Nothing except this bowl of milk so that it won’t spill.”

Raja Janaka, “Didn’t you see, there was a big procession in my honour, then there was a court wherein, there was programme of dancing? Didn’t you see anything?

Narada said, “No sir, I have not seen anything”

Raja Janaka, “My child, likewise with Me, I also see nothing. All the time, I just watch my attention. Where is it going? Making sure that it won’t spill away like the milk.”

“This sort of attention one has to develop. ‘CHITTA NIROD’. Nirod means the saving of your attention, so your attention should not be on saving money & worldly things and all that, but attention itself must be saved. As you watch your money, as you watch your road, when you drive, as you watch your child, when it is growing, as you watch the beauty of your wife, or the care of your husband, all put together you watch yourself; your attention.”

c. STEADFAST FAITH & ATTENTION

T

“What if the thunder falls from Heaven? What if the seas rise & destroys everything? What if the forest fire surrounds & burns us? What if the hurricane destroys everything? Remain unperturbed by all this & have stead fast faith & attention on the LORD”

Verse 2850

SHRI MATAJI ON SETTLING DOWN ATTENTION

“To go into the depth, penance is necessary. To watch your attention is the Penance. Keep your attention always within your heart, & then your attention will become enlightened in the Agnya. This is the Tapasya, the penance that you restrain, you watch it, think about it that where is my attention gone? Why is it so unsteady? It is only through your attention that you know everything. But if the chitta is unsteady, then you cannot know the depth of anything. Pure attention is one pointed. Such an attention absorbs only what should be absorbed. What should not be absorbed is not even looked at. The attention will recede from there because it is pure. It cannot be stained. The Tapas of SAHAJA YOGA IS TO WATCH WHERE YOUR ATTENTION IS GOING., Where is mind going? When you have done this TAPA;’ then you will go beyond Agnya. Then in Sahasrara the question doesn’t arise because I reside there. It is necessary for a Sahaja yogi to settle down his attention. Meditation on MY FEET SETTLES THE ATTENTION.

4. BRAHMINS

a. WHO IS A TRUE BRAHMIN?

T

“Possessing no knowledge of the Holy one, having no knowledge of realising the SELF, not having the capacity to cut off bad vasanas, and not possessing True Bakthi, & not being aware of the presence of the Holy One, these fools, can they be called as ‘True Brahmins?’ No, definitely not”.

Verse 231.

SHRI MATAJI ON WHO IS A BRAHMIN

“Sahaja Yogis must know that they are real Brahmins because they have felt the truth of Brahma; the All Pervading Power.”

..................

b. WHY BRAHMINS WEAR SACRED THREAD

T

“Just by wearing the sacred thread in prescribed way, & sporting a tuft, can it be said that Brahmin state is reached. The thread is made of cotton, and the tuft but hair. The real significance is that wearing a sacred thread, the Ida, Pingala & Sushumna are balanced & realisation of pure state at Sahasrara is achieved. The real tuft is pure knowledge & benefit of both is that people who realise the significance of both, will enjoy the wonderful state at Sahasrara.”

Verse 230

GURU NANAK AND SACRED THREAD

At 10 years of age, Guru Nanak’s mother thought it was time he took part in the sacred thread ceremony. As the thread was being put over Nanak’s neck, Nanak cried, “Wait Sir, why must I wear the thread? Will it make me good and kind” I am not sure”.

“Then it is of no use to me, give me instead a thread of mercy & contentment.”

...................

5. COLLECTIVITY AND SHARING

SHRI MATAJI ON COLLECTIVITY

“The most important thing is that everybody should come to the collectivity (centre). If anyone thinks that he can do it alone, single handed, in his own privacy, it is of no use. If you do not come to the centre you will not achieve anything. One has to go deep into it. Through the depth, one must befriend others, in the centre. Through his friendship we have to learn the laws of our Vishwa Nirmala Dharma in such a way that you inbibe them in your beings.”

“Those who have come to sahasrara have to understand that collectivity is the basis of your ascent. If you do not come to the centre, if you are not collective, if you do not meet each other, then you are like a nail that is out of a finger & the Divine has nothing to do with you. You are out of the tree like the flowers which have come out of the tree can exist for a while and soon they are dead and finished. Without collectivity, we cannot exist. As the body has to be in connection with the brain, in the same way, Sahaja Yogis cannot exist without collectivity. Collectivity has to be established within & without It is more within than without that you have to establish, Whatever is within is manifested outside.”

“The power of collectivity that one feels is the first judgement of a person”.

“You are a Sahaja Yogi where you are absolutely collective. Otherwise you are not a Sahaja Yogi, when you are not collective.”

“Some people get lost who meditate individually, but do not meditate collectively. You have to be collectively meditative, because I am a collective being of all of you. When you meditate collectively, you are really close to me.”

a. THIRUMOOLAR ON SHARING

T

“Without observing whether a person who has come is a wealthy person or a down trodden, share without any reservation, whatever food you have. Please serve to others & then take your share of food like a crow does.”

Verse 250

.................

NOTE

An aspect which can be associated with regard to collectivity is regarding the quality of crow. In Sahaja Yoga, Shri Mataji has revealed to us that Vishudhi chakra is the area of collective aspect & that the planet associated with Vishudhi chakra is Saturn. Shri Krishna is associated with Saturn & the rings around Saturn signifies the Sudharshana Chakra of Shri Krishna.

If an observation is made with reference to Indian Astrology, the crow is the vehicle of Saturn. A wonderful quality of crow is that whatever food the crow has, before it consumes, it calls all the members of its clan & shares the food with them. This is what is stressed at Vishudhi level of collectivity & sharing. We must know that we are part of the collective & respect the collective.

b. TOTAL SURRENDER AND CHARITY LEAD US TO GOD

T

“Total surrender & devotion together with charity are the two Parts & the boat which will take us to the shores of Heaven from the rough sea of Karma.”

Verse 258

................

c. IMPARTING TRUE KNOWLEDGE

T

“When the seekers who have got self realisation & by it the pure & true knowledge, introspect, then the inner knowledge blossoms. This knowledge, they do not keep it to themselves but they share it with other’s who truly seek.”

Verse 291

SHRI MATAJI ON SHARING KNOWLEDGE

“If you understand, that you have got everything in Sahaj manner & in the same Sahaj manner you give it to others & respect others.”

“It is IMPORTANT FOR ALL OF YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU HAVE GOT THE LIGHT TO BE GIVEN TO OTHERS.”

“What is the job of the lamp? Its job is to give the light. Till the lamp keeps burning, till then all works can be done. The light that you have got, you should give to others, & with full confidence. There is nothing to fear.”

d. SPREAD MESSAGE OF KUNDALINI YOGA AND CELESTIALS SHALL WORSHIP YOU

T

“Those who spread the message of Kundalini Yoga (its awakening & its practice ). Will be fit for worship by even the celestials.”

Verse 1242

.....................

SHRI MATAJI ON SPREADING SAHAJA YOGA

“It is not necessary how many things you give me. Its not necessary how many offers are there. Its’ more important how many people you give realisation to. And secondly how are you?”

“If there is a cup; then a very little joy can get into it. But if it is like an ocean, all the rivers of Joy fall into it. So, it is the amount of enjoyment you have, not fun, I mean enjoyment. I am not saying frivolousness, cheapness, but a very meditative deep enjoyment that you have within yourself. It just bubbles into you, makes you very happy & you don’t know why you are happy, just enjoying your happiness. Then one has to say that you really have become a Sahaja Yogi. You don’t want to keep it to yourself. You will work hard and do everything that is possible under the Sun. Your mind will think how to spread it, how to give this Joy to others. You won’t be happy unless & until you communicate with others. So first you become the capitalist & then you become a communist.”

“There are two aspects about what a Sahaja Yogi has to be careful. First - through individual meditation we should know our faults. The second part of Sahaja yoga is knowledge of Sahaja Yoga and its spreading. Spreading of sahaja yoga is another significant thing. As without cross-ventilation, the room could not be airy, in the same way, if you do not pass on the experience of Sahaja to others; do not help them, do not give them self-realisation, do not spread Sahaja yoga, then you, yourself, cannot progress when a tree grows, its branches should also grow & number of people should sit under the shade of these branches. It is the case of an ordinary tree; but you are the BANYAN TREE. Therefore you have to wholeheartedly help Sahaya yoga spread. There are some Sahaja yogis who keep dreaming all the time the Heaven of Sahaja yoga dawn on the whole of the globe. Such Sahaja yogis become sans questions & they always remain in the state of bliss. A great responsibility has fallen on our shoulders; the responsibility of building up a pure hearted society in which we could place our faith and remain established in that faith.”

e. GIVING TO DEVOTEES IS EQUAL TO GIVING TO GOD

T

“If we make an offering to God, in temples, it may not reach the devotees. If on the other hand, if we give to true devotees, it reaches the LORD too, & He is very pleased.

Verse 1857

...............

6. CONTROL OF SENSES

T

“The five senses are like needles within a bag i.e. human body. The five senses, are like a crow which flies out to eat bad things. Hence, if the five senses are not controlled, then the human body which contains it also suffers. But if the five senses are focused on snow clad Sahasrara, the body consciousness will go (i.e. SPIRIT WILL TAKE OVER)”.

Verse 183

SHRI MATAJI ON CONTROL OF SENSES

“One should be like a King sitting on his throne - Instead one behaves like a beggar. What should be done to such people? You are a King and your organs are your servants. You should tell your five organs that you have been tolerating them and now they had better behave themselves. When you command your organs you bring yourself under your control, then only you become a real yogi otherwise your mind, goes somewhere & you say I control the mind so much but still it goes here and there. Then what is mind? It is a living force, but take the reins in your hands with discipline. Then it will go only at the place where it should go. When your organs will be awakened by SPIRIT, we will never like to wander here & there & we will give up many things automatically.”

7. DEATH

T

“What is the use of worrying about our fate or about Death and thereby loosing the precious present.

Instead use the golden opportunity of human birth to arouse the Kundalini fire & raising it through Sushumna Nadi, to achieve SELF REALISATION, & there by the purpose of human birth.

Verse 2099.

...................

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘DEATH’

“As in nature, whatever is created is destroyed & something new comes up again in a constructive way, & then whatever it has constructed, a part of it is destroyed. So in death resides life; there is no death.”

“Imagine if all the people who have been born since long would have been living today. We would not have been there. So many animals have died & those animals have also become human beings. So many human beings have to die to get other people to come on this earth, and that you have to take some rest & come back again. So the death is just the change of life. Without death, life cannot exist. It’s a balance between the two. So a sahaja yogi should never be afraid of death. If he is going to die, it is only going to be another life where he rests for a while & comes back again with greater enthusiasm, with greater energy.”

8. DETACHMENT

T

“Mere talk of Prana & Sushumna is not enough. Its knowledge is not enough. Cut off all cravings for materials. Then the LORD can be easily reached.”

Verse 2613

8(b) ‘Avoid Desires’

T,

‘ Cut off all the desires. Cultivate the desire to become One with the Desire. Mundane desires can give only harm, while Divine craving grants liberation’

Verse 2615

SHRI MATAJI ON “DETACHMENT’’

“One of the qualities that we need to develop for our spiritual growth is that of staying detached from problems we face everyday whilst trying to survive in the modern world.”

“Now those who are on the emotional side see the ego of others while those on the ego side see the emotion of others; so are criticising another. But they don’t see themselves, that they are falling into a trap of one of the extremes. So unless & until you are detached, you cannot see it.”

“Hang ups’ are like little pins; they hold things back. And we have so many little pins in life that hold us on to anything. So, you must detach. “Detachment is purity, is innocence.”

“When you are attached to your spirit, then detachment starts working. Sometimes detachment is taken as a license for becoming dry to others, which is absurd because the SPIRIT is the source of divine compassion.

A person who is detached is the most beautiful person, is an extremely loving person, is love. Look at the flowers, they are dying tomorrow ..... but every minute they live, they are emitting fragrance to you. In a tree, the sap rises, goes to all the necessary parts, all the flowers, all the fruits, then back to Mother Earth. Detachment gives you the movement of your love, gives you the movement of your love, circulation of your love. The trees are not attached to anything; if they die tomorrow, doesn’t matter, But if anybody comes to them, they give shade & fruit. Attachment means death of love. For example, in a tree, say a sap rises, goes to all the necessary parts, all the flowers, all the fruits, then goes back to Mother Earth. It is not attached to anyone. Supposing the sap goes and gets attached to one fruit, what will happen? Both the tree and the fruit will die.

Detachment is purity, is innocence. Innocence is such a fragrant light that neutralises what is filthy. You should not even know that a person has come with bad intentions. But your spirit knows how to transform that person by innocence. Detachment is of the attention. Do not allow your attention to get attached to any one person because he is a relation, or a guru, but develop a universal feeling. Hate is worst kind of attachment. Better not hate anyone, give him a chance. If he could be helped, the Spirit will work it out. Otherwise, the Spirit will not bother.”

..................

c. WHERE IS GOD?

T

“Is he in wall hanging (photos)? Is he there alone in the mandapams? Is he there in temples? Is he there in puja room? Is he there with those who wear sacred robes? No! He is there within those who are completely detached from Mundane desire & have only Pure desire to become One with Him.

Verse 2614

........................

WHAT KABIR SAID:

KABIR, “If God be within the mosque, then to whom does this world belong? If Ram be within the image which you find upon your pilgrimage, then who is there to know what happens without? Hari is in the East. Allah is in the West. Look within your heart, for there you will find both Karim & Ram. All the men & women of this world are his living forms. Kabir is the child of Allah & of Ram; He is my Guru, He is my “PIR”.

..................

9. DHARMA

SHRI MATAJI ON DHARMA

“Vishwa Nirmala Dharma is the Dharma within yourself.”

“Carbon has four valancies, gold has the property that it is untarnishable. Similarly, Dharma, is the sterling quality which is, sustenance of mankind. Man has evolved from a amoeba to this stage, through his Dharma which is the code of law of evolution.”

a. DHARMA TO FOLLOW

T

“Not to speak ill, not to stray from Dharma way, not to look at other’s riches & think of possessing them, to be compassionate, & to offer food to others before eating.”

Verse 196

..................

b. NON VIOLENCE

T

“One of the flowers that may be offered to the Guru, is flower of abstaining from killing. The light of the eye is the best garland, the clean and steady mind is the best flame, and the best place to worship is the Sahasrara.”

Verse 197

...................

c. DHARMA OF BRAHMINS

T

“The Brahmins who desired to hear the Upanishads, had not left behind their desires.

But the Truth is that when Desires are cut off, that is the end of Vedantha. Those who realised this & pursued the study of Vedantha, benefited & realised the essence of Vedantha.”

Verse 229

..................

10. JIVA

a. JIVA IS DISSOLVED IN SHIVA

T

“When the scorching Sun shines on the sea water, salt that is dissolved in sea water comes, but when the same salt is put in the sea, it dissolves and becomes part of sea water. Similarly, Jiva gets merged with Shiva.”

Verse 136

....................

b. JIVA IS NOT AWARE OF SHIVA

T

“The same clay is used to give shape to different objects. Similarly, Supreme is present in everything. The eyes through which we see, does not see itself, & same way we do not see the Holy one within.”

Verse 440

....................

c. LIKE SPIDER JIVA EXPERIENCES

T

“The spider seated at the centre of its web catches its prey which are entangled in its web. Similarly, the soul watches the entanglement caused by web of five senses.”

Verse 2170

..................

11.JNANA

T

“There is no better path than path of Jnana. Any samaya (religious path) which does not confer Jnana, is no good. Variance of Jnana, distances us from liberation. And those who bathe in Jnana are those who are best among people.”

Verse 1467

.....................

12. KARMA (FATE)

SHRI MATAJI ON KARMA

“Only human beings think they do Karma, animals do not think this. Because of our ego; we think that we do right or wrong, animals do not think this. Actually human beings do not know what is right or wrong because they live in a relative world. But what is the absolute Truth that you can know only through Divine vibrations. When you become the Divine Computer, then everyone thinks the same way. Right or wrong becomes clear: like animals can pass a dirty drain without knowing but human beings will not go there. When you will become Saints you will know the right and the wrong, you cannot do anything wrong, you get a new dimension to know.

However before that you have conditionings and you become a closed personality, like an ego. But Christ sucks your conditionings & ego. That is the meaning of Christ dying for our sin for which he is awakened. By his powers, he can suck all our sins. Hence you need not feel guilty at all because all our Karmas have been sucked.”

a. FATE MAKES THEM NOT AWARE OF THEMSELVES

T

“The ignorant one’s do not know that Sakthi is in the world filled with land & water. Similarly, they do not know that life force will one day leave the body. Not knowing the greatness of Nada, they seek the lesser Gods. The reason for all this is may be the Fate written for them.”

Verse 1363

..............

b.SUNDER KARMA - WHICH IS CAUSE OF GOOD & BAD

T

“There are two things in this world “PAPA” & “PUNYA”. Based on Karma they manifest as happiness and sorrow. Jnani’s know the cause of Karma & Sunder Karma & thus reach the LORD”.

Verse 1647

....................

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘KARMA PALAN’

“Hamsa chakra does the greatest thing. About which I do not know whether you are aware or not - that whatever are your Karma palas are finished. You’re not responsible for your forefather’s Karma phalas. Whatever wrong we have done is finished, as if you are cut off from your past completely. Once, this is established, then all mistakes, all wrong things, not only of you, of your relations, of your forefathers, of your family, of your country, of this world, anything, doesn’t doesn’t touch you. You are aloof from it.

c. WE CONTINUE FROM WHERE WE LEFT

T

“Those who do not achieve liberation this birth, will be born again in appropriate places suitable for their ascent, & continue from where they left & achieve their goal.”

Verse 1903

......................

13. MAUNA

a. REACHING THE HIGHEST STATE THEY REMAIN IN MAUNA

T

“Even after reaching the highest state, because of compassion, Siva yogis continue to remain in the world to help seekers & guide them. They continue to be in MAUNA STATE, enjoying the darshan of the Lotus Feet of the Divine.”

Verse 132

....................

b. REAL MAUNA

T

“ When the mouth does not speak , it is called “ Dumbness’ and not ‘mauna’. Only when the mind is also silenced , can it be attributed as “Real Mauna” . Only those practice Real Mauna are Holy People .

But who knows how to reach it ?

Verse 1896

14 MAYA

T

“ When Maya veil is there , Lord is not known. When the veil is removed , He is revealed .For those

who know to remove this Maya , there is no body or mind .”

Verse 2548

SHRI MATAJI ON “ MAYA ( ILLUSION )

“ For human beings , Maya (illusion)starts soon after birth , in this world. Your name, village, country, horoscope, forecasts, many things get attached to you or attach them to you. Many kinds of illusionary ideas become part of your mind. False thoughts like ‘it is mine or they are mine’identify with outside objects . Besides man made bindings such as ‘my body should be healthy and beautiful’ are inculcated . Then unreal relationships like ‘he is my father, brother etc are in your head. As Ego develops , foolish ideas such as ‘I am rich, Iam poor, Iam helpless or I belong to upper class enter your head . Many officials , journalists, and politicians become egoists . Then, there are anger, hatred, forebearance, separation, sorrow, attachment under the cover of love and temptation

in the guise of social status .Man with great affection keeps clinging to this unreal way of life .

If you think of getting rid of all these and make efforts , what you get is illusionary knowledge because the attention moves along the pingala (sympathetic channel) and then you are involved in Sidhis (powers) and other temptations . Avision of kundalini and chakras occur. It is also illusory because there is no gain from it, on the contrary it is harmful. But you see all that when you are outside the charkas. When you are inside you don’t see anything, you become . Becoming is the criterion and not what you are. Not to see the light , but how to become the light. Whatever self suppression and mortifications you insist on practicing effectively, all of them add to the limitations on your attention. However , the illusion can be broken off gradually , if with firm condition, you deny from your heart all that is unreal. Then you will have the realisation of the SELF in its purest form. Thereafter it is established within you. Albeit, the same mortal human attention is drenched in that which is of the nature of love , truth, having no beginning and end, verily , the truth. Human attention is meant for realising that reality. This attention must become One with Self. Only that attention which progresses renouncing all unreal, breaks all known and unknown bindings and becomes verily the Self.

The Self is never disturbed or destroyed. Only human attention in pursuit of desires , leaves its inner path. This is MAYA (LLUSION) . She has been intentionally created to sharpen your attention and discriminating power. Without Her, the attention would not have developed. You should not be afraid of Maya and should recognise Her so that, she illuminates your path. After realisation, one becomes like a little bird out of the shell. The mother bird hides her SELF(Maya) and calls the baby bird. Then the baby makes an effort , takes courage , tries to fly to reach the mother. Like hide and seek , it’s a play .’LILA’ for a realied soul .”

15. MIDDLE PATH

(a) Who Stands in Middle Path

T

“ Only Siva can destroy all that is created . Only those who stood in the light of Sahasrara are grateful and seek to reach the lotus feet of the Holy One. They further clung to the sacred names of the Lord and were in Yogic state. It is these people, who are in Middle Path.”

Verse 323

b. TRULY RENUNCIATED THEY TRIED GOLDEN PATH

T

“The Divine has carved the True Path & has also placed alongside, the thorns of temptations. Those who do not follow the True Path, find themselves hurt by the thorns of temptations & difficulties.

Instead, seekers who strictly adhere to the true path, will not be hurt by the way side thorns.”

Verse 1617

..................

SHRI MATAJI ON MIDDLE PATH

“If one introspects & says with humility of heart: “I do not yet know the Truth, but I have to find it”, then, in time, this humility may be rewarded and one may achieve one’s ascent. If this happens, the person’s attention comes into the centre, neither on the left nor on the right. That is, neither dominated, by this conditionings from the past nor orientations of his ambititious ego. Now such a person is very well suited for self realisation by which he will know the Truth in its absolute form.”

16. MUSIC & DANCE

a. SONG & DANCE WERE MADE TO FEEL HIM

T

“Song, Music & Dance were made to feel him, but instead, if observation is made only on gross expression, then the total venture is lost.

Verse 56

......................

b. SINGING THE PRAISE OF LORD IS TRUE OFFERING TO LORD

T

“What is it that, we can offer to God who has everything, It is only good music sung from the heart, that is abisheka of milk which can be offered to Lord.”

Verse 1824

..................

SHRI MATAJI ON “ MUSIC”

“You think you are just singing. These songs are mantras and all awakened songs.”

“I dwell not in Vaikunda, nor in the heart of the Sun, but where my bakthas sing, there be I.”

17. PRANAYAMA

T

“Prana is faster than a Bird, and if that prana is controlled and made to course towards Sahasrara, then there will not be lethargy, strength will be there, and joy will settle. This knowledge is revealed to those who know to control prana & mind and focus on Sahasrara.”

Verse 566.

18. SALOKYAM (GOD’S WORLD)

T

“The first kriya to be adopted by practioners of Samaya path is ATMA PUJA. The second kriya is to consume the mantras of the Deity. The third kriya is to experience the Tattwas & Nirvana Diksha. The fourth Kriya consists of Abhisheka of the Lord by entering into yoga Samadhi.”

Verse 1508

..................

19. SEEKING

“SEEKERS ARE SPECIAL CATEGORY OF PEOPLE AND AS SUCH THEY ARE PRECIOUS”.

WILLIAM BLAKE

...........................

a. BY SEEKING SENSES ARE PUT IN PLACE

T

“When soul meets Holy One, the pulls of five senses will be curtailed & the five senses themselves will start to assist spiritual ascent of the seeking.”

Verse 140

..................

b. SEEK THE LORD AND YOUR STOMACH SHALL BE FILLED

T

“The ignorant one’s wake up each day & worry about how to fill the stomach like a glutton, & toil hard for it, but instead, if focus is made on sundering the samsara bondage, the stomach will automatically be filled.”

Verse 210

....................

c. SEEK THE LORD

T

“The Holy one caused the birth & eventual death too. Even after knowing this, the ignorant mortals run after material & mundane desires & forget the Pure Desire, that is to become One with Divine. Hence, true seeking is to discard mundane desires & seek to reach the lotus feet of the Divine.”

Verse 278

.................

d. LORD IS THERE IN THOSE WHO TRULY SEEK HIM

T

“God knows who are the persons who truly and incessantly seek him and worship the Lotus feet through pure love. After knowing the light within, if we humbly & truly seek, then the Lord rushes to you, and will ever remain with you.”

Verse 288

.................

e. SEEK HIM AND YOU SHALL FIND HIM WITHIN YOU

T

“The ignorant ones lost their things in the sea but search for it in the pond. Similarly, God is within you, and we do not discover it , but look for it outside, or, are not even aware of God itself.”

Verse 513

SHRI MATAJI ON “SEEKING”

“There is something beyond which you have to seek ...... which was told to you by all the Prophets, by all the scriptures, seeking “reality” and “Truth” , then only are you going to be chosen, then only are you going to be citizens in God’s kingdom. Seeking does not mean knowing about anything but becoming something. The Yoga, union, you are seeking with the divine, is born, with you. “SEEK HIM WITHIN YOURSELF.”

You have to choose the Divine in your own freedom. “

f. SEEK THE COMPANY OF TRUE DEVOTEES

T

“It is a great blessing & joy to be in the company of true Yogis and seekers, for not only will it benefit us, but will pave the path for Siva Tathwa.”

Verse 545

................

g. SEEK INCESSANTLY & BECOME ONE WITH HIM

T

“The abode of Shiva none know not, and for those who incessantly seek him, He comes and occupies their heart and remains there - for those who witness this, Shiva & He become one.”

Verse 756

.................

h. STATE OF SEEKERS HAVING DEVI IN THEIR HEART

T

“There is nothing which is not there for those who have Shiva Sakthi in their heart. They do not go to beg from others and even Devas & Celestials cannot be compared to them. There is no place where they are not there as Shiva sakthi is occupying their heart.”

Verse 1417

SHRI MATAJI ON WHY WE SHOULD SEEK

“I am desireless and hence my everything depends upon your desires. Attain me, I am yours. I am for you. I have given you that which has beyond the reach of very great Sages & Saints.”

SHRI MATAJI ON CALIBRE OF A TRUE SEEKER

“Now the best calibre of the subtlest form is that which is just seeking “Union with God.” Nothing else. That calibre works very hard; it is a very concentrated effort. True seekers have a special calibre. They are mostly misunderstood because they are much more evolved and find mundane things uninteresting. Most of them have reached a conclusion that there must be TRUTH beyond the senses. The calibre of a person who just wants to “be” can never be deterred because he is subtle in a way. In his life time, he feels the subtleties of the Unconscious. If you loose your subtleties then you become insensitive. The subtle person is a brave man and his bravery comes from his inbuilt capacity of these subtleties. He does not succumb to doubts. People of very common appearance, of very ordinary life could be very subtle. Much more than the geni-asses and the geniuses put together. Because they can feel the Self. Such people do not cheat themselves or others. They have not other interest in life than to get the “Truth.”

i. HAVE STEADFAST FAITH

T

“The six legged bee, hunts from one flower to another for honey, but the swan can be found to remain always near the lotus alone in the pond.

I do not why ignorant people even after seeing the practitioners of Kriya marga, gathering flower and worshipping the Lord, do not the same way themselves.”

Subtle Meaning : - The half hearted seekers are like bees jumping from one path to another, while a deep seeker is like a swan, having found the lotus, (Path of Truth) clings on to it. “

Verse 1497

....................

j. SEEK WITHOUT FEAR

T

“The world is one family, and God is One. Think and do good. Without fear seek and remain steadfast and determine to achieve to it.”

Verse 2099

..................

20. SHIVOHAM STATE

T

“At the outset, the sadakas sees the Primodial Being (Sada shiva) and his reflection within him (Atma) as different. After intense practice he sees within him, the oneness of his Atma and the primodial one. When he surrenders the flower (Sahasrara) at the Lotus feet of the Holy One, then he will experience the oneness (Shivoham state).”

Verse 1607

Note :- In this connection the rendering of “Tad Niskala” by Adisankaracharya comes to mind.

.....................

21. SURRENDER

T

“Do not worry, Surrender your Ego & have steadfast devotion, the Divine grace will be there for you.”

Verse 361

SHRI MATAJI ON “SURRENDER”

“By complete surrender to Mother, Sahasrara can open. We must surrender as drop has to dissolve into ocean to become the ocean.

What is Surrender?

Surrendering of our conditioning, of our Ego, and artificial barriers we have built around us. Sahaja Yoga should be full hearted and not by the way.

It is not what you dress & what you eat & what you have, but it is what you can give & give up. The tags of mundane life have to be cut off.

To surrender to fill your vessel with the Bliss, the bliss of Divinity, so that when you go to others you pour on them the beauty & love of God.

Surrender is the opening of Sahasrara, keeping it completely open so that NIRVIKALPA STATE IS ESTABLISHED within us. There should be regular progress of improvement, regular progress of opening. Sahasrara is not a pendulum going forward, then backward & again forward, but it is a Lotus and area of Sahasrara is the realm of God , when the Brahmarandra opens fully then the Heavens opens within yourself. Surrendering should be by living action and not by mere words.”

“The best way to surrender & surrendering is easier. You have to put me in your Heart, all the time, the simplest way. Then you cannot live without it. You cannot exist without it you feel completely lost. It’s a kind of a very detached love. You just feel absolutely rested, blissful, & content. Then you don’t want anything. That is the state one has to establish. It is so easy for you. Because I am in person with you. Only problem, that is there, as I told you in Sahaja Yoga, that is you have, to Recognise Me.’

“So many powers Mother has, to protect her children & to look after them. These powers are all there, working relentlessly all the time - 24 hours. So anybody who surrenders to Mother, these powers express themselves & try to help you out of your problems. But first thing is surrendering. If you are not surrendered, if you are not in the Kingdom of God, then this is not the responsibility of the Mother. Then it might be that some negative force might take over & may destroy you.”

“Surrender means leaving everything to someone who is controlling. Thus by surrender, we accept supremacy of the controller & allow things to happen. Since mana, chitta, ahamkara are all elements with the divine power to act, once we surrender to God Almighty (Paramathma), Atma, a part of Paramathma takes control of all

activities & functions of the elements in a human beings. Hence surrender is the best way, to control the Chitta & mana

.....................

TEMPORARYNESS

22. TEMPORARYNESS OF BODY

a. WHAT ACCOMPANIES SOUL?

T

“When soul departs, even one’s wife & children cannot accompany it, but it is only the pure wisdom & dharmic practices that will accompany it.”

Verse 144

STORY OF VALMIKI AS NARATTED BY SHRI MATAJI

“Valmiki, the great Saint who wrote the epic, Ramayana, was a dacoit & very aggressive person. His profession was to loot all the travellers on a lonely road & to feed his family with that loot. One day he met Narada another celestial being, whom he had captured & whom he was about to kill. Narada asked him : ‘Why do you commit such heinous acts. It is a sin to kill somebody like this for his money.” Valmiki answered: “I have no way of feeding my family which is very large & all are dependant on me.” Narada asked : “What will they do for you?” Valmiki replied, “Anything that I ask them.” Narada said : “Will they die for you?” And Valmiki said with great confidence: “of course. They will all be willing to die for me.” Then Narada told him: “You better pretend that you are dead & I will prove to you that nobody will die for you, because they are all very selfish people.” The dacoit agreed. And Narada pretended that Valmiki, the dacoit was dead & carried is body to his family. To the grieving family members of Valmiki, Narada said “Anybody who is willing to die for him should come forward. I can give life to this dead person in exchange. Valmiki who is concerned about you all He killed and looted people & thus he committed many sins just to fill your bellies.” All the persons gave their explanation as to why they could not agree to die at the juncture of time and they could not, therefore accept Narada’s proposal. Valmiki, who was lying still pretending to be dead, heard all this. He got up from his pretended death, gave up all his family & took to a pure spiritual life.

If it could happen to one person, it could happen to thousands.”

“YOU ARE NEITHER BODY, EYES, EARS, & MOUTH ETC. RATHER YOU ARE PURE ATMA.”

a. PURSUIT OF MATERIAL EVEN AFTER KNOWING ITS TRANSITORINESS

T

“Even after seeing the Soul departing and the corpse being left behind, the ignorant men feel that it could not happen to them and get immersed in material pursuits, and they too leave, when their tenure is finished, wasting a golden opportunity of Human Birth.”

Verse 156

SHRI MATAJI ON TEMPORARYNESS

(Transitory things)

“Whatever we have achieved in our evolution has to manifest through our central nervous system. In Orient, people believe that one should see eternal light rather than indulge in transitory things. Transitory things exists, they can be used in proper mariyadas, to be kept in their own place. When you cross the mariyadas and over indulge in them, then they become evil, simply destructive and fatal.”

c. WE MAY NOT REMEMBER GOD IN OUR LAST STAGES

T

“Even after seeing the blossoming of fragrant flowers and their withering soon, we do not realise, that our life is also like it. We forget to remember and seek the Lord in our youth, and when the call of Yama comes, our faculties may not be perfect to help remember the Divinity, in our last stages of our Life.”

Verse 187

......................

d. LIFE SPAN IS SHORT

T

“The silk cloth gets torn after a period of time and the black tresses of hair will in course of time turn grey. Time rolls and we must understand that the time span between birth & death is very short.”

Verse 192

.......................

SHRI SAINATH ON GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY OF HUMAN BIRTH

“My Master told me to give bounteously to all that ask. No one asks with wisdom. My treasury is open. No one brings carts to take away the real treasures. I say , dig and search, but no one wants to take any pains. Be the true sons of Divine Mother and fully stock yourself. What is to become of us. This body will return to earth and the air that we breathe will melt into air. This opportunity will not return.”

...................

23. TRANSITORINESS OF WEALTH

a.

T

“The wealth that you have, the chariots & the elephants & riches, if before others take it away, if you totally surrender to the Lord, then nothing else is necessary. There need not be any austerities.”

Verse 169

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘MONEY’

“The falsehood lies in believing that money is the source of Joy. It can give temporary happiness & then, unhappiness, when it is spent. But without achieving eternal life one cannot even sleep well. The whole night one thinks of how to save money from robbers or from the sophisticated robbers, which are banks.

The money one gets as a blessing is for enjoying charity, for enjoying generosity, for enjoying art, artists, writers, poets & for helping genuinely those who are in need. This kind of expenditure can achieve a world of joy. Greedy, rich people go down in history as hounds of society. (They are sinful in their life, they, fall into dissolution & displeasure).”

b. HOW CAN WEALTH HELP WHEN EVEN THEIR SHADOW CAN’T HELP

T

“Ignorant people claim that their wealth will help them. The truth is that not even their shadow which is following them always can be of help.”

Verse 170

SHRI MATAJI ON TEMPTATION OF WEALTH

“Money is a temptation on your way. Success is a temptation on your way. I am your Mother. I have to tell you the truth that don’t get into these temptation. Only the success of your ascent, you must accept.”

c. HOARDED WEALTH WILL GO TO WASTE

T

“We find the bee gathering honey from one flower to another, & it hoards it. In course of time, the honey-gatherer comes & collects the hoarded honey & same is the case of hoarded wealth.”

Verse 171

SHRI MATAJI ON HOARDING OF WEALTH

“There is nothing wrong in being wealthy. The problem lies in becoming obsessed with money. The desire for money for the sake of money is greed. It crosses the boundary of need & becomes an obsession, a disease that retards growth. Miserliness & hoarding prevent the proper flow of money to places of need, & represents the selfish, primitive mind which does not know the Truth about the basics of life. In nature everything flows, because nature is One. Money should be of no exception - the energy has to flow to every part of the creation.

By sharing we learn. Being generous is so elevating, whereas hoarding leads to stagnation. It creates a blocked mind, a negative mind. Such a person is malignant & dangerous to society. It is selfishness & greed that leads to environmental crises & to the pollution of the modern life style. Our spiritual growth relies on our contentment & our contentment depends on our open heartedness & generosity. If we share, we receive the first benefits of that act & our Nabhi chakra also benefits in kind.”

25. TRUTH

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘TRUTH’

“Know that you are one with the Truth, the testimony of Truth, that you have seen the Truth. You know what the Truth is, & you cannot compromise with falsehood. You just cannot. You have to just profess it. You have to stand up & say that you have seen the Truth & this is the Truth & you have to be one with it so that people see that light of truth in you & they accept it.

Test yourself. It is not for telling others that you have to truthful & this is the Truth, we have seen & this is what God’s law are, how they work out.

Through vibratory awareness we have been able to see that this is the Truth. But be completely confident about it.

This is an important task Sahaja Yogis has to do in these modern times i.e. to tell aloud that they have found the Truth.

In whatever way you like you can announce the Truth. You can write books, talk to your friends, relations & tell them:

“THIS IS THE TRUTH NOW” ;-

“That you have entered into the Kingdom of God. That you have been blessed by Grace of God.”

Now you can announce the Truth.

That you are realised souls, that you have felt this Divine Power which is pervading everywhere. That you can give realisation to others & know that, by your accepting the Truth - you are not adding anything to the Truth - but you are adorning yourself.”

One requires courage to enjoy the Truth. Sometimes people may mock at you, laugh at you & persuade you also, but that should not be any worry to you, because your relationship is with the STATUTES, with the GRACE OF GOD.

When that is your connection, you should not worry about other people, & what they have to say about it.

You have to stand up, adorn yourself with that Truth, & talk to people & people will know that you have found it.

With that authenticity with which you speak people will know that you have found it. With the confidence, with that complete understanding coming out of you, people can make out “THIS IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH, And then all kinds of falsehood must be denounced. Doesn’t matter if somebody feels bad, because by telling that, you are saving them & not harming them. But it must be told in a correct way & not frivolous way.

First & foremost is that you should know the Truth & stand the testimony & that you should announce it.”

“By climbing Mt.Everest, you do not know the Truth, only through the Kundalini, the truth can be known.”

a. REALISATION OF TRUTH IS IMPORTANT

T

“Many have been the Gods, the world has worshipped since time immemorial. There has been many songs of praise of them & many rituals, which have been practised. But there will not be peace of mind in the heart of those who do not know the pure knowledge to merge with Shiva.”

Verse 33

...................

b. PURPOSE OF HUMAN BIRTH

T

“Human birth is very rare & is obtained by Divine Grace. But even after acquiring this, if we do not achieve the purpose of it (to become one with Divine), then the very purpose of human birth is lost.”

...................

26. TRUE EDUCATION

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘TRUE KNOWLEDGE’

“One meaning of yoga is YUKTHI. One means that you are united & the other means the art of skill of that union. A yukthi that we should have is full knowledge of it. KNOWLEDGE DOES NOT MEAN INTELLIGENCE. THE REAL SKILL IS THAT WE HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE ON OUR FINGERS, OUR HANDS. THE FULL AWAKENING OF KUNDALINI IS KNOWLEDGE. YOU CAN AWAKEN THE KUNDALINI OF OTHERS. BY THIS KNOWLEDGE YOU CAN MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND AND YOU CAN BECOME ONE WITH THEM.”

a.

T

“The cause of the body I knew, the presence of the spirit in the body I knew. The Lord made my heart his home. Thus I came to know the True knowledge & education.”

Verse 290

........................

b.

T

‘When the seekers, who have got self realisation and by it, pure & true knowledge, introspect, then the inner knowledge blossoms. This knowledge, they do not keep it to themselves but they share it with others, who truly seek.”

Verse 291

...................

c.

T

“Let us be aware of the transitoriness of the body, while it is there and let us seek the True knowledge. The true knowledge washes away all sins - offer a real prayer with pure heart and the Lord will reveal to us. This is the True knowledge.”

Verse 292

....................

27. TRUE LEARNING

T

“A person may be illiterate, but he may have experienced the Divinity, and to such a person, divine’s blessings will be there.

Another person may have been educated, but may not have divine experience. Then even though such person is educated, he is classified as illiterate, as he has not had any Divine experience.”

Verse 310

SHRI MATAJI ON TRUE LEARNING

“Through our gross senses whatever we know is gross (avidya). It is the lower truth, whatever you know through the light of the Spirit is through new awareness of collective consciousness.”

28. TRUE RELIGION

“A tree is known by the fruits is bears, so a man’s religion is known from the deeds that he performs. Robes, symbols, forms, rites, rituals & ceremonies that do not lead to righteous deeds will not take man far in the path of spiritual progress. The real problem is to rid the mind of evil propensities. It that’s not accomplished, all our austerities are of no avail.”

GURU NANAK

Sahaja Yoga recognises that all the founders of the greatest religions came at a special time to a special place & for a special purpose: a purpose directly in line with God’s plans for our evolvement. So far as Sahaja Yoga is concerned, all the great religions have their place & play their part in the divine plan. Think of it like this. Imagine the way of our evolution as crossing an inland sea. Each time the founder of a religion came along, he built a boat & pushed it out into the sea, using the previous boats to get himself near to the other side. So as each great Religion arrived, the idea was for us to step from one boat to another, until ultimately, we reach the far shore and arrive at the destination God had planned for us ! :

But what happened? Man in his inimitable fashion, giving his ego full rein - did something quite different. Instead of climbing from one boat to another, and in the process, using all the boats, he pushed off from the line of boats & drifted up & down the shore line, touting for passengers; claiming that his boat was the only one capable of getting us to the other side., And we the human race in our blind acceptance of silver tongued oratory & religious chicanery, never once stopped to ask them why they drifted up & down the shore instead of running a ferry service to the other side!!

But all this is finished. The Bridge is complete. Shri Mataji has gathered all the boats together & put them back into one continous line. What’s more, to stop them drifting, She has put a roadway or planks across them to make a bridge: to give us unrestricted access to the other side. No more drifting. No more labouriously climbing in and out of boats in our attempts to cross the ocean of illusion. The Bridge of Sahaja yoga is made of broad highway to our destination..........

So every great religion has its place. They are all related to another. Their message are to be learnt, understood & respected. It is only when we let one of them become exclusive & rigidly adhere to it to the exclusiveness of others, that we get into trouble. It is then that we have pushed off the boat & we will ultimately find ourselves drifting on our own, whilst our brothers & sisters march over the new bridge to the kingdom on other side .....

SHRI MATAJI ON “ RELIGION”

“These Religions are not created by human beings, but by Incarnations. So human beings have made them artificial, they have made all kinds of nonsense with them.

We have to remember Religion, in its true & pure form. We have to respect & they are all just the same. If you come to the true form, they are just the same, like different petals of the flowers. One may not look the same as other but the whole thing makes a flower.”

a. ALL SAMAYA (RELIGIONS) LEAD TO GOD

T

Just as there may be six paths leading to a town, there are six faiths leading to Lord. Those who shout & claim that their path alone is true while others are false, are like a dog which is barking a distant hill.”

Verse 1558

SHRI MATAJI ON PARTIAL & RELATIVE VIEW

“In our wisdom, we must understand that the truth in effect is absolute & not relative or variable as we commonly experience it, like the six blind men describing an elephant from six different angles: one holding the trunk, says: ‘it is a long like a snake’, another feeling a leg, says ‘it is massive like a tree’. Each has a firm and indeed justified faith in connection of what he has found, but each contradicts the other, because each has only a partial & relative view.”

b. KUNDALINI PATH IS SURE PATH TO SAHASRARA

T

Though the six samaya (paths) may indicate the path to reach the top, it is only the Kundalini path, which can surely take one to Sahasrara, while other paths may be very difficult to pursue & reach the goal.”

Verse 1561

.....................

29. TRUE YOGA

a. LINGA PURANAM

T

Sakthi, wanted to reach the Holy One, and took birth as Parvathi, the daughter of the Mountain Ruler. ‘HIMAVAT’ & did meditation & dhyanam. The celestials beings, watched with wonder, the steadfast dhyana, & worship of Holy One, by Parvati.

Verse 347

SUBTLE MEANING :- Kundalini Sakthi, has only one desire, that is to reach the Holy One & the ascent is through the Sushumna & unison of Kundalini with Atma at Sahasrara is yoga True.

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘PURE DESIRE’

“YOU LOOK AFTER ME. I SURENDER TO YOU”. WITH THIS, THAT’S HOW GAURI, YOUR KUNDALINI SURRENDERS TO THE SPIRIT: “Now you LOOK AFTER THIS CONNECTION. I FORGET EVERYTHING ELSE. I LEAVE IT INTO YOUR HANDS. LIFT ME UP. YOU RAISE ME UP. I FORGET ALL THAT WAS ME BEFORE. EVERYTHING I HAVE DROPPED OUT. NO OTHER DESIRE. BUT JUST LIFT ME HIGHER & HIGHER, MAKE ME YOURSELF. THE REST OF IT IS NOT IMPORTANT. ALL OTHER MANIFESTATIONS OF THIS DESIRES ARE OVER. NOW, I AM ABSOLUTELY SURRENDERED TO YOU, MY SPIRIT. LIFT ME HIGHER & HIGHER AWAY FROM ALL THE THINGS THAT ARE NOT THE SPIRIT. MAKE ME COMPLETE SPIRIT, FULL SPIRIT.”

b. WHAT IS YOGA?

T

“Coursing the serpent power through sushumna, piercing the adharas, and reaching the Brahmarandra, to unite with Shiva, and remaining motionless like a wood, without feeling any external sensation, is Yoga True.”

Verse 1457

c. WHAT IS TRUE TAPA?

T

“Only those who practice Yoga with true devotion are True Tapasvins. This really the meaning of MAHA VAAKYA (“TATHWA MASI”) . This definitely will make one become One with the celestials.”

Verse 1462

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘TAPA’

“TO GO INTO THE DEPTH, PENANCE (TAPA) IS NECESSARY. THE TAPA OF SAHAJA YOGA IS TO WATCH WHERE YOUR ATTENTION IS GOING.”

30. VEDHAS

T

“Mere recitation of Vedhas does not make one a realised person, but the reason why vedhas were given, was to help to perform yagas & to announce the True knowledge and about Almighty. Thus mere chanting of vedhas, without knowing the inner & true meaning is useless.”

Verse 52

................

31. ZODIAC

T

“Parasakthi is present as 27 stars (zodiac) in sahasrara, in the form of vibrations (spandam). Slowly the vibration enhances & sakthi of directions eight, merges with Parasakthi, to reach Nada & Bindu.”
